Morgan Stanley: The bear market is "far from over" as recession risks increase. The stock market has briefly recovered from a severe selloff that started earlier this year, but additional losses in equities are inevitable as concerns to the economic outlook include rising inflation and an increasingly hawkish Federal Reserve. According to economists at Morgan Stanley, the relief rally may turn out to be fleeting as the likelihood of a recession rises. The strategists, lead by Michael Wilson, stated in the note that the counter-trend rebound "may continue, but make no mistake, we don't believe this bear market is done, even if we avoid a recession." According to Wilson, the likelihood of a recession over the coming year has increased to 36%.
